Introspective Rhythm Youth Wellness Self Care Stations Workshop
Join The Love Quest Foundation, Saving Our Tomorrow, and Parents Today for the Youth of Tomorrow along with Courtney Albert, Give Way to Freedom, for a conversation on human trafficking and domestic violence awareness. Seed of Love Introspective Rhythm Youth Wellness Workshop
On Tuesday, February 27, Freedom Gerard, SEAmarron Farmstead and 1 Freedom 4 All founder and Jamai Leigh, Life Flows Through Every Body founder, held a workshop for youth teaching them how to improve their community and the planet through farming. Participants received a planter, seeds, compost, and water to put what they learn into practice.
LA Arts & Culture Immersion Trip
Love Quest Foundation sponsored an arts and culture immersion trip to Los Angeles, California from February 15-21. Thanks to parents for allowing your most precious cargo to travel with us on another Love Quest journey. Thanks, too, to City Council Member Nedra Thompson and others for your sponsorship, and to collaborators, chaperones, mentors, and tour guides for your support and assistance.
Youth had an incredible and most memorable time attending studio sessions, panel discussions, confidence coaching with 8x Grammy nominated singer MAJOR, information sessions in music publishing 101 with Haskel Jackson, 7x Grammy nominated producer and SESAC, an organization representing songwriters and producers. We also had a tour of the Grammy Museum and Pepperdine University and spent some down time in Venice Beach.

On Thursday, February 15, Youth On A Mission founder Natalie Hunt shared the benefits of journaling and how it can help youth identify and plan their future goals and tap into their inner creativity.

On Wednesday, February 7 at our community partner, Marc’s Friends, Life Flows Through Every Body founder and Waking Up For School Is Cool! author, Jamai Leigh, conducted a workshop to create crafts and teach kids about sickle cell.
Introspective Rhythm Youth Wellness Exploring Health Literacy Through Music Workshop
Boston Conservatory and New York University alum and Reach Academy music instructor Reggie Bennett held a music workshop to empower teens with essential health knowledge through interactive music-based activities.

Introspective Rhythm Youth Wellness Dream Boards Workshop
To honor the birthday of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. , the late civil rights leader who is well known for his “I Have A Dream” speech, our Dream Boards workshop on Sunday, January 28, 2024 helped youth create a dream board of the vision they have for their future. Community partners include Life Flows Through Every Body and Growing and Empowering Myself and My Sisters.

Meca was lead director on Love Quest’s first video campaign — I’m Taking Off — and also worked in pre-production on our second video, Distractions. At this workshop, you’ll learn:
- Music production using Soundtrap, an online cross-platform digital audio workstation.
- Creating storyboards to develop shot by shot video illustrations.
Announcing Introspective Rhythm Youth Wellness Workshops
Beginning December 13, 2023 and running through March 2024, The Love Quest Foundation, along with the New York State Department of Health and community partners will bring youth in the Mid-Hudson region wellness workshops to promote wellness and improve health literacy.

Love Quest Collaborative Workshops with Community Partners through December 22
The Love Quest Foundation has joined forces with Save Our Tomorrow to offer Personal Safety and Personal Hygiene workshops Tuesday evenings on November 21, December 5, and December 19 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory at 8 North Cherry Street.
All workshops conclude on Friday, December 22.

Love Quest Collaborative Workshops with Community Partners, October 10-December 22
The Love Quest Foundation is joining forces with Save Our Tomorrow to provide collaborative workshops at the Poughkeepsie Underwear Factory at 8 North Cherry Street in Poughkeepsie every other Tuesday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. beginning October 10.
Love Quest Executive Director Josayne Anderson-Tejera and Jasmaine Clay, Founder of Save Our Tomorrow are working in solidarity to offer community residents Personal Safety and Personal Hygiene workshops.
We hope you will join us on October 10 | October 24 | November 21 | December 5 | December 19. No workshop will be held on November 7, Election Day.

Annual Youth Summer Workshops Begin July 5
The Love Quest Foundation is holding its annual Youth Summer Workshops from Wednesday, July 25 through Friday, August 18 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Family Partnership Center in Poughkeepsie. Activities include music production, financial literacy, gardening, restorative justice, fitness, and self care. There will be weekly field trips and daily snacks.

The Love Quest Foundation attended the 2023 Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans at the 2023 Essence Festival from June 29 through July 3. We are so grateful for the support of so many without whom we would not have been able to extend this experience to local young men and women.

Annual HV Gives Event
Each year, Love Quest participates with Hudson Valley Gives — the 24-hour online day of giving hosted by the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan. Thanks to those who so generously participated.
Love Quest Hosts Self-Care Event Young Women
The Love Quest Foundation in collaboration with Saving Our Tomorrow and Taking It To The Streets hosted “That Girl Self Care Event” on May 13 from 2-6 p.m. to provide them with self-care routines, cosmetology hacks, and ways to accentuate their natural styles.

Love Quest Foundation’s Seeds of Love Event in Honor of Earth Day 2023
The Love Quest’s Seeds of Love event in April was led by Hector Gerardo and Elizabeth Guerra — co-founders of SEAmarron Farmstead and E&G Community Builders in Danbury, Connecticut. They are improving access to fresh food in Connecticut’s cities through urban farms, community gardens, and educational programs and giving the next generation of activist farmers the tools they need to pick up the mantle.
Youth were given a mini planter, seeds, compost, and a bottle of water to put what they were learning about farming into practice.

Introspective Rhythm Red Carpet Event
Love Quest, in collaboration with The Children’s Village, held a red carpet event for the 2022 Introspective Rhythm Youth Summer Workshop on Wednesday, February 1 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Reach Academy in West Harrison where we featured music productions and other works by participants.
Safe Harbor Event
The Love Quest Foundation also held an event for young women in the Safe Harbor Program.

On Wednesday evening, October 26, The Love Quest Foundation hosted its Introspective Rhythm Red Carpet Affair for the participants of the 2022 Free Summer Workshop Series held in July and August.
The event featured participants creative writing, songwriting, and music production works, and a recap of variety of workshops and outings they attended.
July-August 2022
Monday, July 11-Friday, August 19, 2022: Youth ages 11-18 interested in creative writing, journaling, and music production attended its Free Summer Workshop Series. Activities took place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Family Partnership Center in Poughkeepsie.
Workshops included creative writing, music production, introduction to songwriting, journal writing, audio visual projects, mindfulness, self care and fitness, along with field trips. Snacks will be provided.
